Objectives

Blue Rhubarb is a former art gallery, now offering modern European cuisine in a comfortable, artistic environment.

Blue Rhubarb approached us for a stylish website with a warm and decorative design, with the idea of bringing part of the restaurant atmosphere into the homes of anyone visiting the site.

The design was to offer concise pages that would fit entirely within the confines of a common screen resolution.

What we did

We decided to create a design based on the idea of having a main, decorated “window” of content within each page.

Once we had the basic layout sorted, it was time to get out the camera and head over to the client’s premises for a photography session.

These photos were used to create a fading slideshow for the home page.

Finally, we integrated a customised content management system for staff to update pages.

Results

Blue Rhubarb was a new-build site and has enjoyed a steady increase in visitors and enquiries since launch.

Blue Canvas has created a foundation link strategy for Blue Rhubarb, ensuring the site is listed in core directories and all major search engines.

Staff can update the website’s menus and special offers, as well as sending out email newsletters to visitors who have signed up online.
