Traffic Analysis: Getting to the right people

At Blue Canvas, we recognise that any website is only as good as the number of visitors it receives. Any organisation with a big enough budget can operate a website with all the bells and whistles, but what good is a luxury private jet if it doesn't have any passengers to carry?

Blue Canvas won't stop at building your site; we use effective traffic analysis techniques, utilising the latest Google Analytics technology, ensuring we can help you identify and target the most successful keywords for your website's audience and maximise traffic potential.

Traffic analysis involves examination of visitor statistics to your site. We look at factors such as referrer (where visitors came from), browser, approximate duration of visit, pages viewed and actions taken. This information is then used to create a heuristic for improving traffic levels and user satisfaction.

Traffic analysis
is the process of intercepting and examining messages in order to deduce information from patterns in communication.

Web traffic
is the amount of data sent and received by visitors to a web site. It is a large portion of Internet traffic. This is determined by the number of visitors and the number of pages they visit.

Conversion Analysis
is the process of examining actions taken by visitors to a website, with the intention of determining the keywords, pages and services that are most likely to lead to a “conversion”.

Conversion
when a visitor to a website performs an action that leads to a desired outcome, for example completing checkout on an ecommerce. Rather than simply visiting your website, this visitor has “converted” into a customer.
